Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, Director General of Labour, Sindh, and Chairman of the Minimum Wages Board

Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, Director General of Labour, Sindh, and Chairman of the Minimum Wages Board, Sindh, convened a meeting of the Board. The meeting was attended by representatives of both workers and employers, serving as official members of the Board.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the revision of minimum wage rates. The Board took into account the minimum wage rates fixed by other provinces, the guidance received from the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sindh, prevailing inflation trends, and other relevant socio-economic indicators.
The Board’s discussions aimed at ensuring a balanced and fair approach that safeguards the interests of workers while also considering the sustainability concerns of employers. Further recommendations will be finalized in accordance with legal procedures and stakeholder consultations.
